Interesting reivew, but your test system has only 2GB of RAM. I have heard that ALL X-Fi-based soundcards have issues (static, crackling noise) with large quantity of RAM 4GB and above. Can you confirm it?

Never heard of that. I have 4GB RAM an no problem what so ever. I only have static when activate the microphone...

You are not entirely inaccurate actually. There were issues with Creative drivers and they got resolved finally though it took a while on Creative's part. I myself faced it with my X-fi elite system running on XP x64 with 4 gb of RAM.
