Looking at these results makes me tempted to get a 5850 or 5870 crossfire setup. Hopefully, the underload noise will be a bit less than the 5970. However the supply problems and recent MSRP increase make me tempted to wait till the middle of next year.
On a side note, I am curious what frame rate people play at in their games. I generally shoot for ~95avg-65min if I can get it while only forgoing minor visual options (turning off ambient occlusion, lowering AA to 2x, etc.) and ~70avg-45min even if I have to turnoff more important options like all AA, lowering resolution, or turning shadow resolution to fairly blocky. What about all of you?

Why didn't you use a 5850 and 5870 crossfire also?? Was interesting to see how the dual GPU can stand in comparison with those 2 setups...

With Ati 5970 no need for CF ,even with 5850 ,i think no need even for reveal Fermi really ,look 5850 not consume too much power ,good OC almost + 20 %,most of game at high fps.TDP for 5850 is near 150 W,Gtx 285 is near 300 W.5850 have better perfomance than GTX285 price is same, and if someone want to add more perfomance ,they can put 5850 in CF.In fact real champion of new ATI DX 11 series is ATI HD 5850 .
