The only attraction for me is performance. There is no saving in a couple of dollars less price in a long-term commodity. Just buy the best bloody motherboard there is. You won't miss the other contemporary articles, because once you need a new socket, they are all obsolete. Especially if your motherboard is the best at the moment. Motherboard manufacturers should compete for only this aspect. Maybe one more price category is needed, the budget category, that is created at the end of each era with the best know-how and the cheapest components.

I'm really wondering how many users bother with overclocking nowadays. I know I no longer do: spending hours tweaking settings and solving issues is no longer fun nor worth my time.
