Shouldnt the power consumption test reflect the drives performance too. The WD drives eat the most power but they are the fastest, reading or writing the same amount of data is much faster on the WD drives so the owerall power consuption is litle biased.
I never understand the low power 2.5 inch notebook hardrives, yes they eat less power but when u use them they are 2+ times slower than a desktop drive which in the end doesnt give to much advantage on the battery endurance when they are on full power much longer. And your system is freaking slow too.

best review of 2TB HDD so far, as I especially needed to find out which drives gave the best performance for the SMB NAS i will be setting up this month. Thanks.

Any chance of an update to this review? Specifically I'm interested in how the newer Hitachi 7K3000 drives perform.
