"Sources close to ABIT and NVIDIA said that the former was not satisfied with pricing and support offered by the latter, which negatively impacted the company’s ability to deliver certain products into the market on timely basis and at price-points ensuring high profit margins."

That's symptomatic of all AIB/OEMs... In this case the issue is worse with FX5700 (& to lesser extent FX5950), due to the fact that NV requires low prices to compete with ATI pricepoints (esp RV3x0) while employing higher cost & hence lower margin components (eg 1GHz DDRAM). You can guess that the AIB/OEM partners have been asked to soak up some of these costs.

The BIG problem at Abit is that Nvidia made significant promises if the Abit engineers could help with NV30 cooling. Unfortunately, while in California, the Abit crew was completely ignored to a point that they got fed up & returned to Taiwan. The result was the NV30 dustbuster fiasco...

This is a pretty sad case. ABIT makes good Nforce 2 board.
