Why didn't you use Quadro driver for the GTX470? I think that might have affected the preformance of the GTX470. Modding the .inf file is so easy a caveman/I can do it. Can speculate on the possible performance improvement the GTX470 whould have got from the use of professional driver?

Is it still possible?

It is not possible anymore, and in some softhacks you just can't get full performance at all, since the hardware is different (not the core however).

Yes, I will. I plan to make a big Quadro and FirePro comparison sometime in October-November, when Nvidia will introduces new Fermi-based lineup fully.

You're the single worst reviewer I've ever had the displeasure to read.

True about the support. I'd never more buy even a gaming card from AMD that I plan to use more than two years. And a pro card simply never. For example, I have around 2 years old ATI FireGL V3400 in my work computer. Guess what? No Windows 7 drivers. For Quadro cards, it's simply beyond imagination. What's second? The card intermittently displays garbage and then usually crashes in multimonitor configuration when using Remote Desktop. Found some forum posts that it is a common ATI bug not fixed for years. Probably it's not an important issue in AMD view.

Thanks Ilya Gavrichenkov for that review, I wait to see the full scale review for the new cards from both nVidia and ATi.

(does it happens to know if there are any differences between the quadros for macpro? )
