Bleh at that Vantec. Obviously it's more like a 500W PSU in practice. I hate it when the manufacturer just add up all the values from the rails to reach a higher number than is realistic.

None of those PSUs is really exciting, unless dirt cheap.

XFX Core 650W+, Thermaltake Toughpower XT x75W, or XFX Black 750W/850W all trounce them, having DC-DC, better efficiency and overall better electrical performance (partly contributed by DC-DC in itself).

As to whom makes the best power supply is always subject at to whom is doing the review. Always seems to be a matter of opinion.
Makes one wonder where the truth lies.
