1. For clear testing you should expand your test from pci 32/33 to pci 64/33 and to pci 64/66. Try intel pci-x server board and amd "desktop" board with enchanced pci.

And what do you imply by "clear testing"?
I think that it doesn't make sense to use mainboards with PCI64 or PCI-X for dual-channel controllers, because the transfer rate from two 7200rpm drives will not exceed 120MB/sec.

1. For standard PCI - 120MB/s too near to bus limit for receive clear results and, don't forget, please, that sometimes memory on HDD used as cache memory. Your experiences with AIDA32 test suite (buffered read performance) help your readers view difference of controller/HDD hardware.
2. Additional benefit your review received after expand of list tested RAID controllers "old" IDE RAID (Promise TX2000), "performance" SRCS14L (in PCI 32bit/33MHz slot) and high-speed SATA drive.
3. In some cases stripe size have strong value for performance and sometimes performance depended from pair stripe and controller.
