$350 is now cheap, while GTX570 remains and is cheaper and better overall.

It's amazing what the river Nile can do.

Not sure why you got thumbed down, but you are absolutely right. These are really great video cards. I own a HD7850 and cannot be happier with my decision. When I set my dual-fans to 50%, it is no hotter than 59C at load. Coming from 8800GT that idles at 61C, this is simply amazing.

I hope NVidia will drive down the price, although they are unlikely to price any lower at launch for cards in this performance range, so I don't see a point of waiting. Until then, these are hard to beat. An alternative to these cards is HD6870 running for $150-$160 now, although they run quite a bit hotter, too.

And I love XBitLabs' performance summary charts.

I'm just glad the reviewing amd fan has declared the new 7870 card Pure Perfection.

Yes, absolute perfection, see it in the saphhire review, a perfect product, bar none. None could say a bias exists with a straight face.

I hope he enjoys this years 2 week amd sponsored island vacation in the Caribbean so that the 300+ journalists may explore industry developments. Please take the required number of jimmy hats and hangover cures, as it had better be worth it.
