Just 1 question. On Serie 7 PCI shouldn't be v3.0???

No, 2.0 only. The PCIe 3.0 lanes have rise from Ivy Brige CPU. It is chipset independent feature.

Many Thanks for the review, however, could you please also add power usage figures as the benefits perhaps may be due to lower power consumption of the Z77 chipset?

... or I could just go find the chipset docs from Intel and take a look
