They should spend the money on fixing the flaws of the chips sooner instead. Or figure out how to produce them much cheaper so they could be sold at a pricepoint where they become a good deal again.

they still make profit when they sell them whit this discount. so its more like small profit vs loss. they are also 3 months away from the release of the next chip so they want to sell these chips as fast as possible

Sorry, I actually compared this (http://www.overclockers.c...duct.php?prodid=CP-403-IN) with that (http://www.overclockers.c...duct.php?prodid=CP-321-AM).

But then again, there are Core i5-3550 (http://www.overclockers.c...duct.php?prodid=CP-406-IN) and Core i5-3750K (http://www.overclockers.c...duct.php?prodid=CP-404-IN), which are also faster than the FX-8150 in the majority of cases.

Well, between those two cpu:s, here they cost sek ~2000 and ~2500. More importantly however, the i5 3570 is ~1800.

Sure, for some servers and a few things where the AMD FX actually shows its good sides i might rather pick the AMD 8150, but >9 times out of 10, i would rather pick the 3570. It´s generally faster AND it´s still cheaper?
