Take a long hard look at your results you mongs. At stock settings it's a massive 26% faster at max gaming, and you're trying to tell us it's not the fastest gaming card?

Fucking joke, this site goes from bad to terrible.

Ya, I don't understand the conclusion at all. The HD7970 Ghz Edition beat GTX680 overall:

1920x1080 4AA
680 = 63.4
7970 = 64.8
680 DCU II = 67
7970 Ghz = 71 (+12% over a 680 that costs more!)

2560x1440 4AA
680 = 39.6
680 DCU II = 42.9
7970 = 43.4
7970 Ghz = 47.7 (+20%)

I don't know what the deal is since there are after market 7970 Ghz Edition cards for less than $500 and they are clearly faster than even a factory pre-overclocked 680 overall, esp. at 2560x1440.

Not sure why it's so hard for people to admit that while Kepler is a lot more power efficient, it's slower for games and GPGPU.

... Only if you read what the "reviewer" write instead of the actual numbers.

Sapphire Vapor-X has a great quiet cooler that addresses both the noise levels and temperature concerns of the reference card. Can be found for $460-500 on Newegg, Superbiiz, Amazon. NV has no card that can actually beat it besides the $600 MSI GTX680 Lightning.

Maybe people are just surprised that AMD has both the price/performance and the faster card this generation at the same time. That usually doesn't happen as the fastest card commands the highest price premium.

EDIT 4 people downrated me for stating facts? Must be upset NV fans who can't accept their camp lost the performance crown as shown by Xbitlabs.

HD7970 > 670
HD7970 GE > 680

Other professional reviewers agree:

and

GTX670/680 are still good cards just not the fastest this generation.

AMD cards are actually "free" since they make $ on the side bit-coin mining. More pain for the Green camp who spent $500 on a 680 and it's slower vs. $0 for the 7970 GE.

We had integrated a system with Intel DX79SI, Intel 3960X, 4x8GB RAM, Asus HD7970 DC2T-3GD5 GPU, Adaptec 6405 RAID Controller, 4 SAS Drives, DVD RW, 1000W Cooler Master PSU etc. On Powering up the system, the POST screen along with system details RAID config etc and freezes with 0_ post error on screen. The On board Diagnostic LED show 00. But system does not boot to OS. The display shows 0_ on right bottom. The same graphic card and other components are functional with Asus Rampage iv extreme. The BIOS ver is 553.

Kindly advice and help to find a solution.

Thanks in advance.
