My contract is up in November. Looks like I'll be getting the 920--the low-light cam performance is exactly what I've been trying to find. I'll check out the Samsung as well, but I think the cam tips the scales far in Nokia's favor.

After moving from Nokia to Sony Ericsson and then to Samsung, I feel like Nokia is calling to me again... It is a tempting offering they have.

And people were so impressed by the release that Nokias shares dropped 15%... Not so good.

It is highly unlikely that people look at the share price of a company before making a purchase.

Bottom line, if you like the product you'll buy it or look for something else that suits your needs. Don't pretend to know the perception of people in general regarding their choices.

Imo, Nokia has always been able to produce solid, quality hardware and it shows with this new phones.

I think you didn't understand his comment.

He wasn't talking about people not buing Nokia phones, because Nokia shares dropped. What he meant was that Nokia shares dropped, because after Nokia showed it's new phones, investors didn't believe in Nokia making big profit.

I believe it was the investors shorting the stock. Usually when a company has a big announcement "revealing new products" it raises the awareness of the stock leading to that event.

Whether Nokia can gain market share is yet to be seen. They certainly made a compelling argument with the innovation included in those designs, making people take notice of its products as another option.

My former comment was simply a statement of fact.
This however adds a bit of funny to the argument:

Robbers not interested in Nokia phones...

Windows phone is now a viable 3rd OS. just upgraded from Lumia 710 to Lumia 920. Loved the 710 but the 920 blows my expectations out the window. Love this phone. Super fast with the snapdragon processor and LTE network. My android and IOS friends are jealous of speed.
