OCZ has been hanging on by a thread for years. Petersen may be bailing while he can still get a platinum parachute.

Save that hostility to companies like Microsoft or EA. OCZ is one of the good guys. Even it if was somehow economically unstable, it is the technology leader! I was sorry to see the DRAM production stop, but I am happy buy their SDD's in the future.

I am sure they will revisit the Seagate deal again. And something tells me the chances of it going through are pretty high this time...

OCZ is definitely NOT a technology leader. Maybe they excel at rushing half-baked products to market, but that isn't considered ethical or technology leadership. That's marketing hype and customer abuse.

They have committed the company to making new technology is SDD specifically. They made the first functional TRIM in Vertex 4 and now they are going to top its speed by Indilinx 3. If you are talking the failure rate of SDD's, I don't think one or two percent qualifies hating the fastest drive on the market.
