Other than the fact that this HSF is a total POS and outrageously priced, was the box it came in pretty? That's of great importance to many reviewers...

For the price this cooler is definitely inadequate. It may be good enough to cool a Core i5 @ 4.2-4.4ghz but not the much hotter Core i7 6-core. Generally speaking the top firms moved away from a top-down cooler as the tower coolers proved to be far more effective. I think for those with limited space, but they still want good performance, I'd look at the Noctua NH-C12P SE14 for $60

or just go for one of those self-enclosed watercooling kits that would work much better in a small/cramped case.
