The excessively tall heatsink is going to be a clearance issue for many who want to populate all DIMM slots. Bling does sell however as many consumers are technically illiterate.
Since there is little need or value in real high frequency DRAM say above 1600 MHz. for desktop use other than with APUs, I don't expect DRAM sales to improve much regardless of the marketing efforts employed.
After over-producing DDR3 DRAM all of the RAM makers are suffering from low margins and lower sales with an economic depression that is in to it's 5th year and counting. Vishera sales will help but I wouldn't expect any real economic recovery for another 4-5 years until real jobs are created in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
