I think the main problem with Ultrabooks is the lack of any dedicated GPU. Anyone that is going to shell out that kind of cash deserves more than Intel's mediocre IGP. Now the one good thing is we are seeing Laptop resolutions like we did back around 2005, when you had 1920x1200 screens being sold even by places like Dell. Now a days you will see 1366x768 all day long, even in models with dedicated GPUs in the $800+ range.

I absolutely agree, to compete with New IPAD which has 2048x1566
screen resolution the laptops should support at least full HD 1920x1080 or better 2880x1800 like in the new Macbook. Nowdays it doesn't make sense to buy 800usd laptops with 1366x768 screens for home use when you can buy New IPAD for 500-700usd.
