6 times better performance over Xbox 360 will be not enough as current high-end gaming PCs are already 10 times better than Xbox 360. Microsoft will need to make the next Xbox more than 10 times better than Xbox 360, support 4K resolution and put 8GB or better 16GB for Video Memory - these will be much better selling points than Kinect 2...

Yah, they should just put a $2000 machine into a $300 console! It's that simple amirite?

You fail to see that the XBox is not competing with the high-end PC pricepoints.
A 6x improvement at the current pricepoint will be a bargain.

As far as 4K resolution, their aren't even any consumer based (resonably priced) graphics adapters that will do 4K.

Also have you priced a 4K monitor?

I think you are just throwing around jargon without thinking.

Current AMD Graphics Cards already support 7680×4320 resolution for 3 monitors, not sure about Nvidia but at least 4k with 2 monitors they also support.

Also lots of smartphones have 4,5" 1280x720 displays and very soon will have 5" 1920x1080 displays, IPAD has 10" screen with 2048 x 1566 resolution. So currently there are no technical limitations to mass produce 4K HDTVs and Monitors - hope they'll start to appear next year for reasonable prices.
