So, why the processor died? The memory was insanely overclocked, not the CPU !

You are forgetting that for a few years now AMD and Intel have been integrating the memory controller into the CPU. By over-clocking memory, they are essentially over-clocking the memory-controller (in CPU) and the Memory simply has to be able to cope with it.

Technically they didnt said that integrated memory controller died taking the CPU into abyss with him Who knows maybe even OCguy didnt know that for the last decade AMD puts IMC onto CPU die.
