I would whish myself and others rather lower taxes in UE that would encourage business (not only/necessary foreign investment) than subsidies.
Subsidies come from pockets of taxpayers. Some of them may be even employers/owners/affiliates of competing companies.

Almost exact. This thief would like tax payers to subsidize his business after a lot of grants were thrown into AMD Fabs already that those GloFo murky business man bought out for a penny. In fact i don't see why NY-US has doing such a great offerings fr the. It might be that IBM is lobbying for them there.

These are not news just some old weasleish witch asking for donations of hard earnings. After all semiconductors are ripping us well already. Just like car manufacturers

If GloFo sharks felt themselves uncompetitive. Then they could ask for some other investors not asking for government grants just because they get them plentifully in the past.

As someone in New York, I have to thank Europe for being so short-sighted. Whatever you pay, you get back many times over in taxes and the changes to the infrastructure. Plus you have happier people since they can get good jobs.

It makes no sense to be cheap about stuff like that. If it's some ego thing where countries feel like they shouldn't be dictated to, or have to bow to businesses, then they'll be bowing to higher unemployment and high deficits, and hurting their people. It's foolishness.

If EU didnt imported so much stuff AND didnt allowed corporations to run them and their counties, the EU would be a lot better.

It is a competitive world because EU allows it to be, they should stop importing so much stuff from slave work and they would be very well and already having facilities, they could start to do the same to cpus and the like, that would be a major incentive to build things on EU.

One day many will woke up and think who did this happened, became modern day slaves, and I hope they remember those that fought for them and many criticized.

We shouldnt allow to GloFo rip us off just like they same sharks did with AMD offering them trashful ATi to buy when ATi had no real product and need investment. And then they just bought off AMDs factories few years later under GloFo name. And now they again dont feel like they wish to invest any of their money into them. Nicely played
