Hi,
My experience : All-in-Wonder 9800 SE at 250 € (in France) O/C with softmod : 411 Mhz / 775 Mhz with 8p : score with 3dmark2003 = 6079 ...
(no artefacts, burn 5 hours without problem). (6179 with 420/775 but little artefacts).
I think it was a good deal ...

I can't believe you're condoning such unethical practices and buying a 9800 SE, bring it home and testing it to see if it can be modified to a 9800 Pro, and returning it to the store if it can't. That is low... real low. As a major review site you should provide a better example than that.

Great test! Especially that a Radeon 9800 PRO can almost out-perform a XT card with some overclocking. But I found the differences remarkable small between XT and unclocked PRO card. In other benchmarks I've seen average differences on 5-10% in performance (XT ofcourse faster) between the two cards.

I also heard some rumors that ATI has done some major adjustments in 9800 PRO pricing in Canada. 10-20% cheaper now. Anyone can confirm and know if there will be any impact soon in europe? Today I can buy a ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128 mb for €224 (2100 SEK) in Sweden. Would be nice to know if there will be any further drops in pricing :)
