Sadly, this will be dying business along with powerful enthusiast desktop processors. Well at least I hope not.

Not sure about intel, but AMD still will need heatsinks for their desktop CPU in the foreseeable future.

Why does AMD need them but Intel doesn't?! AMD's 32nm doesn't run much hotter than Intel's 22nm Ivy Bridge. In fact, I decided to wait for Haswell because Ivy Bridge had too many heat issues.

Your comment must just be an anti-AMD issue with no merrit.
