Pretty sweet, although...

I have the older Zotac AD10. It is nice to be able to drop in a 2.5" SSD and greatly reduce the heat (and fan noise). It also came with 2 USB3 ports, a card reader, and built-in bluebooth. And analog output jack is a must for my wife to use her headphones.

I suspect that the next AMD low-power APU (Kabini and Temash) will improve the CPU and GPU performance greatly over the old Zacate. Intel needs to provide more features to compete with Zotac's Nano product line.

Bottom line: I buy a computer this size for space, low heat, and convenience. I don't need a USB port extension sticking out or laying on my desk... But don't get me wrong. This is exciting. I can't wait to see what NUC will become in a year!

$300 bucks without RAM and SSD? Marketing BS! Probably with those it will costs as much as a small laptop.

Desktop of the future? No way in Hell. You can buy a quality Trinity based laptop for $500. now and less in the future - if you want a real desktop solution instead of a Intel toy.

AMD should build something like this... On a passive cooling design, which makes a lot more sense in this form-factor.
