if that's what the ps4 controller will look like then I'm glad they kept the controller fundamentally the same and didn't do some radical Wii U controller like design.
PS2 or PSX controllers were quite radical at that time with dual analog sticks and rumbling motors. I don't see a problem with trying new stuffs. As long as the "traditional" games still support the old controllers, everybody should be happy.
they tried that with the pre trail run with the boomrang ps3 controller and everyone that tested it hated it so sony went back to the tradional controller before the ps3 was released. the dual shock controller wasn't radical from the original ps1 controller, it was still the same funamental design,
