It would be more useful if the statistics is more in-depth about why developers are choosing one platform over another.

The WiiU game pad is a very good idea (great interactive device when games utilize it correctly). It would be great if it also has more advanced motion tracking technology like the other next gen consoles.

Steam, Tablets, Phones etc, could have 99% of the share and it still makes no difference because these so called "developers" are all small fish, and together combined couldn't make triple-A or decent Game lol.

Games like Braid, Limbo and Aquaria are so bad. //sarcasm

I agree that the poll reflects a lot of the indie developers interests, the news says that. Still that is important info and it is well known that nintendo doesn't have good relations with third-party developers since a while. The hardware differences between this console and the rest of the batch and the slow sales don't help.

doesn't surprise me considering the hardware in the wii u is old and is barely faster then the ps3 and xbox 360 that and lack of innovation has caused many developers to not even bother with it.

The thing is that there are hundreds of FREE games for android and iOS...While those can make money they DO NO compare with AAA titles for PCs or consoles that makes BILLIONS in 1 week. This is the difference.
