For ~half-price you can have a quiet, thermally efficient, reliable, leak-free high-end HSF that is within a few degrees of the Swiftech 220. Yeah, that's a difficult decision for anyone with a technical clue...or NOT!

The hype and "logic" over CLCs is laughable.

I think you are being a bit extreme. While I prefer air cooling, the advantage of this cooler in particular can be be argued. The performance/noise ratio is tops.

performance-noise ratio is tops only when you have (heavily) overclocked cpu.

IMHO, besides cooler and quieter Swiftech 220'll make my system look cooler than using my Mighty Phantek :D

I've been seeing all sorts of reviews, some saying this sucks, most say they're underwhelmed and it's not worth the price and some saying it is very good. Perhaps it is due to problems with the first review samples (Swiftech says it could be a problem with air not being bled out well).
I personally think, even from the best results, this is not worth the money, it's ugly and it's not efficient enough to be worth the difference in price tag over a high end air coolers. If it were my money I'd rather stick with air cooling until I can afford a proper good liquid cooling system, at least a kit such as the XSPC D5 RS360.

Nice review, congrats on the good work.

Could you please do a review of the Asetek 760gc gpu and cpu watercooling kit?

Being a Corsair H100 owner, I'd like to add on the plus side that these coolers keeps the motherboard accessible. It looks clean, fan headers are easy to access.

Why would you use high air flow fans (AF120) instead of the static pressure fans from corsair? I would be interested to see the results in that.

All in all, great review!!
