I am still using desktops because I prefer them more than notebooks. I am never mobile, so desktops is what I use. I do not buy my desktops from Dell, HP, or any computer manufacture. I build my own computers from components like motherboards, CPU, memory, hard drive, chassis, power supply. If I am not going the integrated graphics route, I will use a discrete graphics card. The operating system that I use is Linux. I may use Windows, but it is getting to be an annoying OS to deal with.
Intel should include smartphones and tablets as PC sales. If Intel does this, they can get a better idea where to put their products better. All companies still thinks smartphones and tablets as mobile devices. I thought notebooks or laptops are mobile devices, so they should be in that category instead of PC. Smartphones and tablets are basically PC these days and they should not be any different to a notebook or desktop computer.
What I read and from the looks of Haswell, Haswell is not going to be a big performance upgrade, so people are going to wait until the microarchitecture after Haswell.
