If Microsoft doesn't utilise an AMD Temash/ Kabini APU design in one of their flagship tablet/hybrid products, then AMD should rip up the Windows only agreement and support Linux tablet designs - Android, Chrome, Ubuntu, etc.

Above now qualified, although I do believe the article is about mobile APUs. The Xbox APU isn't a mobile chip.

Xbox uses exactly same cores, on both CPu and graphics side. And the xbox apu chip itself Is much closer to "mobile chips" than "desktop chips" where those differ.

So your point about "xbox apu not being a mobile chip" is meaningless.

Rubbish. Don't try to cover for your initial misunderstanding of the subject matter.

None of your assumptions are really correct, you will know when the xbox product is launched.

MS did no favors for AMD APU in the next XBOX since that was its only choice.

I agree that AMD seriously needs to look at Android since Microsoft is only using Nvidia and Intel in their Tablets. Intel and Nvidia is also supporting Android, I don`t get why AMD is so loyal to Wintel.

AMD only has a real advantage when couple with Windows. If it can get enough design wins in this market, it shouldn't waste chips on platforms where it's less likely to sell well, regardless of what Microsoft does. If it can't get enough design wins for Windows devices, it's unlikely to have much success with other platforms anyway.

Despite the haters AMD continues to roll out industry segment leading APUs in mobile as well as desktop and now in tablets. It's all good for consumers.

If APU Temash keep the battery 5-6 hours on Wi-Fi-7 inch tablet, AMD is on the right track.Tablet market is huge.
.Intel and AMD should support Android. Anrodid tablets are cheap. They should not be a link only to Microsoft.
