AMD already delivers CPUs competitive with Intel, delivers superior APU products to Intel in desktop/laptop, ULV's and tablets. In addition AMD also delivers as good or in some cases better GPUs to Nvidia and Nvidia don't make CPUs or APUs which is why they lost out on sales of 5 million APUs for the PS, Xbox and Wii.

There is no doubt that AMD will continue to deliver what the majority of consumers desire which is the best value for the money, as they always have. Anyone who is foolish enough to think that Intel makes more than .0001% of their revenue from high priced, over-hyped trivial gains desktop CPUs compared to AMD CPUs, is in serious denial. While the Intel fanbois and technically challenged may buy these products mainstream consumers don't even know or care that they exist.

When you have a thirst for high performance, you can`t get that with ARM (APPL) and Intel (Graphics), which is why he went back to AMD.

He must have also looked at Nvidia and decided it wasn't the right place since nvidia won`t survive much long after the New Gen Consoles release. I hope Nvidia have plenty of T-Shirts and Hats to sell.

Koduri will be in charge of "visual computing" which is a broad and challenging new position within AMD that covers a lot of territory from APUs to discrete GPUs, including laptops, tablets, consoles, etc.
