Frankly, I don't see how that is a good thing.

When those games eventually come to PCs these games will be crappy console ports, as always EA will release no patches, no bugfixes, no anticheating measures and to top it of, will come with truckloads of the most obtrusive DRM.

Who still cares about EA?

No they won't be crappy console ports this time. Remember, both consoles and pc will cater to similar x86 development standards unlike before. They will perform similarly across pc and next gen consoles. HSA will also be implemented.

Next-gen consoles might close the gap, but still PCs will be more powerfull, especially with SLI or Crossfire.

Besides, the ports can be crappy for totally different reasons than performance. Anyone likes to controll GTA4 with mouse and keyboard? Imho thats completely botched.

What EA really want the consumer to do is to buy all the EA games they already have again which have been tweaked to work just a little better on the new consoles which most ppl would never know the difference unless shown working on old/new consoles @ the same time

And EA are laughing all the way to the bank, you get a minimal game upgrade and pay full price for the privilege
