This kind of GPU power will change mobile gaming. I don't know if the Shield is the perfect vehicle to deliver it, but the days when your tablet is your console seem to be nearing.

Mr Huang's top goal is to make Tegra render his face without imperfections - that's going to lead to multiple generations.

No one is going to buy this crap. nVidia have serious ego problems with AMD due to their white wash win on all console hardware.

Shield does make sense as part of an Nvidia equipped Steam Machine in house remote gaming terminal.

Unfortunately for Nvidia, Mantle was designed to be cross platform so most next gen Steam OS ported games will be Mantle optimized and AMD hardware will run circles around Nvidia AND Intel processors.

I wish Intel would license the GPU core for a future Atom. Not likely to happen, but if NVIDIA can give higher than 8800 GTX performance at under 2W, that would make for great Windows gaming experience on tablets.

I got a Shield and its as more power then my PSvita and the 3dsXl. I run a lot of emulators. I can do more then any handheld game on the market with so much more power. It run on Android (Linux kernel) it as a brith future. As soon Shield 2 come on market I get one because I got money in the bank. I fill sorry for you that are broke but it is not a reason to bring down NVDIA. By the way I am a ATI fan. But the Shield is to powerful to not buy it.
