in case most of u hvn't realised these cards pack more than enough punch to play ALL of today's games fast enough with everything set to high - u watch movies at 24fps and here we r talking upwards of 50fps
also i feel xbitlabs should compare the technical aspects of the two cards when no clear champion can be ascertained. The article entirely focuses on framerates which are quite close and since on game X one card performs well and on game Y the other one performs well so fps r no clear indicators of which card is better
about sm 3.0, by the time it is in use new cards (ie cards which will cost $500 again) will be out. Since I can't afford $500 cards every 2 yrs, I'd rather buy NVIDIA's offering (although my loyalties rest with ATI) - i feel that that is a big plus in favor of nvidia
