1. I might be wrong but wasn't Netburst introduced with the first Pentium or atleast Pentium2, and Pentium M was developed from a Pentium 3 base? If I'm right they're not cancelling Netburst, only realising that they've been if not on the wrong track atleast in a technical cul-de-sac..
Well.. perhaps I'm seriously off track with this but if you never ask, you never know =) [Posted by: Vetemjol | Date: 05/07/04]
Netburst came about with the first Pentium 4 core williamette (sp). Then came various revisions including Northwood with multiple bus speeds, P4EE and then prescott. P3 was an improvement of the Pentium 2 if I recall, but I could be wrong. Pentium M was built off the P3 architecture (same execution resources) with a P4 style bus and slightly longer pipeline.

P3 over P2 i only recall the SSE instructions nothing more, there were the RDRAM, new board's and socket's but i think it was the only change made on the processor core. Good processor, hum? [Posted by: I | Date: 05/07/04]
2. So will the 775 socket T have any carrying value past Prescott?

3. AMD have higher speed processors than Pentium M but are lower than Pentium 4, the same goes for the temperature.
Does this mean that AMD is the way to go? And also that we may not see those super 10 Ghz that intel have been talking about? Model number adoptation? Intel P5 M6800 work at 2.8Ghz? [Posted by: I | Date: 05/07/04]
