Its for Security Just imagine

Example:

If somebody steal your Flash/Thumb Drive. which has so sensitive information there. then a person failed to authenticate the Flash Drive tru password and username.

Flash Drive automatically Destroy its Memory Physically

He took a laptop from the paranoid department. The organisation he worked for is staffed totally by paranoids who are only employed if they suffer from paranoia which seems to affect a large proportion of governments and particularly politicisations of all ilk.
The original comment was sarcastic as some of you fail to grasp. Sarcasm and facetious remarks seem to miss sometimes. This may be because paranoia is becoming common place'

so much for that "build self-destructing chips for darpa" thing, fabless wonder! (in all chances they'll probably do just fine developing the tech even without a fab)
