Is it just me or does there appear to be a typo in the article where is says, "The nominal inner circuitry voltage (VDD) of the graphics memory chips was equal to 2.92V. We soldered up an additional 2.7kOhm resistor to pins 5 and 7 of the chip, as shown in the picture:" He says that he soldered and additional 2.7KOhm resistor, but ine picture below that shows the resistor it looks like he soldered and additional 10KOhm resistor not a 2.7KOhm. It is green and looks the same as the 2.7. Also if you click on the picture to enlarge it, it looks like the number "10" is stamped on it. I am thinking of doing the mod, but I am nervous about this particular part of the mod. I do not want to solder the wrong resistor.
Has anyone tried this or have any thoughts on whether the author made a mistake in writing it up?
