I don't understand the point of this review. CD and DVD reading/burning go by a speed scale (1x/2x/etc.). Most of the numbers this review shows agree that the drives meet their advertised speeds.

So, again why was this worth publishing?

Dear xbitlabs,

Another successful "Roundup"!

Now, may I suggest another "Roundup" topic?

How about a comprehensive "External Enclosure Roundup" - USB2.0, Firewire 400 & 800, etc., so I can find "good homes" for all my PATA Hard Disk & Optical Drives that have been virtually displaced by all the recent mainboard technologies omnipresent since June 21st.?

(Re: NewEgg.com lists over-a-dozen "Brand Names" in their External Storage" category.)
