Great review but why didn't you include the overclocked Celeron D 335 in your benchmarks?

Apart from a few typos and some grammar issues a very good article.
Well done.

Gut article. However I'd be pleaed to see performance numbers of new Celerons in ingle channel config as well since most of budget systems use only one PC2700 module usually.

It looks like good... but somewhat dont match with value processor.

Value processor requires low powersupply and low tempereture.

It just downgrading from Prescott which called Sun!

Intel must be make new and great cpu to fight with AMD's value processor.

Celeron have the same transistors of P4? I thought it was a different core with less cache and without HT.

Are celeron’s damaged P4 cache?

Its better now, maybe they will have to enable HT in order to compete with Amd, since I don’t see a regular celeron buyer overclock them all.

Intel 865PE is too much for a Celeron, I agree that you should test with a single cannel Ram and a chipset from Uli, SIS or Via, because it’s this type of chipsets that it will be sell with these processors (budget market).

I think this benchmark is not a FAIR game.

Not only the CelD processor can be overclocked, but also AthlonXP can be

overclocked, too.

You should have test with the overclocked AthlonXP.

Great proc. I have the Celeron D that is 2.4G stock.
OC'd to 3.753Ghz with stock cooling and 2 case fans.
Runs sweetly at 40c

excellent impressed by the performance of the overclocked cd 330 i have a 320 2.41 ghz presscott and was wondering would i get the same kind of results u think? also do u know where i could get it done? i would be much appriciative if u would get in touch.

I have a Celeron D 2.66 and it runs fine but still i have'nt seen any indications of how you overclock the CPU.
I have liquid cooling and i make the fan run around 3257 rpm it's good because it keeps the CPU temperature down to about 31 degrees but it runs slow because i have onboard video that runs at 32bit.
i have a MSI mainboard with SIS micro atx and HT ready, 512 mb RAM , onboard LAN and 4 USB 2.0 all i want to know is how can i make my computer faster without screwing it up.

I've pushed my 2.66 to 3.82ghz...

Does anyone know the appropriate maximum voltages threshold, and in doing so if it will be possible to run the 2.66 533FSB (133) at 800FSB (200)

very good review on the celeron D's and their overclocking potential. I recently bought one and havent been happier. i chose it because they used the new intel socket which let me upgrade to a 64bit P4 when funds permit, which was another prime reason for purchasing it...only AUD$120 for the 2.6 celeron D. and mine sits on 3.02ghz without the slightest of troubles or temperature increase. I'll probably bore her out to 3.8 like you did later in the year if and when i buy a better cooler.
Until then, good work and good bye
