It would be extremely stupid of them not to use such a great CPU as AMD Opteron. They are already very late anyways.

what i don't get is that they still stubornly refuse to sell any desktop systems using AMD chips, despite clear performance advantage and also a lead at the budget end ware thir athlonxps are priced similarly to celeron chips and will slaughter them.

No Dell is just rubbing Intel the wrong way, I can smell another juicy discount coming from the big gorilla.
