A number of web-sites published what they think to be percents of price reduction on the Athlon XP processors later this month after X-bit labs had reported that AMD will slash the wholesale prices on the 22nd of April (see this news-story).

Here is the preliminary pricing of AMD Socket A processors for quantities starting from 1000 units effective from April 22nd:

As you may see, the price cut will be fairly aggressive on all the models. Note that the processors below 2000+ mark are very likely to be discontinued this Spring, hence, if you still want to get one of those overclockable Athlon XP “Thoroughbred” B0 chips, do not delay this action for long.

We also expect AMD to unleash Athlon XP Barton 3200+ sometimes in late April, but we have not got any confirmations in regards the possible product launch by now. We also are looking forward more precise pricing for you, so, keep an eye on our news-wire.
