We reported yesterday that the largest chipmaker on the planet delayed the shipments of its 3.0GHz processors with 800MHz Quad Pumped Bus for unspecified period of time due to the CPU’s strange behavior during the validation testing. Although today I still cannot report on the reason of the delay, I have managed to find the date of Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz processor’s with 800MHz Quad Pumped Bus actual appearance.

Reportedly, Intel will ship its new microprocessors to distributors only starting from the 8th of May in Europe, roughly three weeks after the original date the CPU was intended to come. By that time there should be a lot of i875P-based mainboards available on the market to support the newcomer.

The company will supply its new CPUs in limited quantities, according to the source, so, if you want to get one first, try booking the chip in a local store that have good relations with Intel.
