Those of you who are looking forward to get Intel Pentium 4 with 800MHz Quad Pumped Bus CPU and appropriate platform were probably impressed that some stores already sell i865PE-based mainboards and other are going to start offering the Pentium 4 2.40C, 2.60C and 2.80C processors starting from early May (as we told you yesterday in this and this news-stories). Well, today our readers in Taiwan noted that there are Intel Pentium 4 2.40C and 2.80C chips for sale in the country!
KingTech.com.tw online web-store presently sells Intel Pentium 4 processors 2.40GHz with Quad Pumped Bus and the HyperThreading technology for $200, while WAsia.com.tw online store offers the 2.40C and 2.80C Intel Pentium 4 CPUs for $200 and $305 respectively.
According to local observers, the processors with 800MHz Quad Pumped Bus and the HyperThreading technology are not just engineering or press samples, but ordinary retail products, hence, we can figure out the fact that Intel has already started to supply these CPUs to certain distributors. The fact that the newcomers were spotted in Asia leads us to conclusion that the new chips are now assembled on Intel’s plants in Malaysia or Philippines or on both.
It looks like some shops in Europe will really be able to provide the Pentium 4 processors with faster PSB and the HyperThreading technology in early May.
PS. You can glance on the web-sites of mentioned stores here and here.
