Intel Aims at 4nm Fabrication Process in 2022
[08/22/2009 09:41 AM]Intel Corp., the largest maker of chips in the world, has outlined plans to make chips using 4nm process technology in about thirteen years. According to Intel, integration capacity of chips will increase much higher compared to fabrication process.
According to Intel’s claims made in Japan at a special event, the world’s largest maker of chips plans to continue upgrading its process technologies at the current pace. As a result, Intel will have 22nm fabrication process in 2012 and 4nm technology in 2022, reports PC Watch web-site.
Intel did not outline which materials it plans to use for 22nm or 4nm chips.
