Intel Pentium 4 and Celeron CPUs to Change Marking

New Look For Older Products

Intel notified its customers that it will change the marking of all its currently produced Pentium 4 and Celeron processors in Socket 478 packaging. Those of you who deal with new microprocessors constantly should know about the changes and be ready to receive the new chips after the 12th of June.

Above is the current marking, below is the new marking.

Intel will be making the following changes on the Integrated Heat Spreader mark for all Pentium 4 processors and Celeron processors on 478-pin FC-PGA package:
