Intel Corporation will soon introduce another CPU belonging to Celeron family as well as lower the pricing of existing models on the 24th of August. The date for the 2.70GHz value chip has not been set yet, however, keeping in mind that Intel has been starting to supply its low-cost CPUs long before the actual announcements this year, I suggest that the 2.70GHz Celeron CPUs may become available soon enough.

The initial pricing of the Celeron 2.70GHz will be slightly above $100.

The Inquirer reported that on the 24th of August expect Intel to reduce the pricing of Celeron chips. For quantities starting from 1000 units, pricing will be as follows.

Remember that Intel adjusts its plans quite often these days, so, do not be surprised if some details here eventually appear to be incorrect.
