As expected, Intel Corporation today published updated price list with lowered prices of desktop Intel Celeron processors. The updates are pretty moderate since the prices were decreased by just 6-14%.
Intel Celeron Current Official Pricing
Intel Corporation is expected to release its 2.70GHz Celeron processor shortly at $103. As always, every price drop or every new model in the Celeron family of CPUs hits AMD's Athlon XP processors, as the Sunnyvale, California-based chipmaker does not currently have lower-end CPU lineup and its AMD Athlon XP devices have to compete both against Pentium 4 in terms of speed as well as against Celeron in terms of pricing. As a consequence, AMD has to constantly lower prices of its chips.
