NVIDIA announced its it is among the first companies, and yet the only developer of graphics processing units, to be included into the so-called Integrator’s List by PCI-SIG, an industry standard-setting organization.
“PCI-SIG has indicated NVIDIA PCI Express technology-based products have passed the Workshop compliance test suite by adding the products to the PCI-SIG Integrators List,” the company said in the statement.
This PCI-SIG Integrators List includes all products that have a complete and satisfactory PCI Compliance Checklist on file at PCI-SIG, have passed the test criteria set forth at the PCI Compliance Workshops and are production ready.
NVIDIA is the only graphics processing unit manufacturer on the PCI-SIG Integrators List, and has a full range of NVIDIA products listed, including GeForce 6800-series, GeForce PCX-series, Quadro FX-series, Quadro NVS-series as well as yet to unveiled code-named NV43 and NV41 families of graphics processors designed for workstations, desktops, and notebook computers.
PCI-SIG is the Special Interest Group that owns and manages PCI specifications as open industry standards. The organization defines and implements new industry standard I/O (Input/Output) specifications as the industry's local I/O needs evolve. Currently, more than 900 industry-leading companies are active PCI-SIG members worldwide.
NVIDIA’s arch-rival ATI Technologies is not currently listed in the PCI-SIG Integrators List for PCI Express products.
