Tul Corp., a well-known supplier of graphics cards known primarily for its PowerColor brand, introduced a yet another brand for its ATI Radeon-based graphics cards. The VTX3D brand is likely to offer a full range of ATI graphics boards targeted at price-conscious customers.
“We believe graphics industry still has high potential to thrive in the coming future; and also, many consumers are still looking for their ideal brand in the market – that’s why VTX3D is here. With advantage of AMD’s one-step-ahead technology and VTX3D’s worldwide talented team, we’re ready to stamp a strong brand awareness in this competitive industry,” said Willie Huang, sales director of VTX3D.
VTX3D stands for “Vertex” and “3D”. A quick look at the company’s web-site reveals a range of various ATI Radeon HD 4000-series graphics cards and the lack of any factory-overclocked or custom-designed solutions with advanced cooling systems and proprietary designs, which means that VTX3D will concentrate mostly on budget solutions. Besides, VTX3D does not carry the flagship of ATI, graphics business unit of Advanced Micro Devices, lineup – the Radeon HD 4870 X2 graphics card.
Tul’s VTX3D will operate across “continents”, the company said, and will not be a special brand to address certain counties or markets.
Tul Corp.’s brands and subsidiaries is a rather complex system to understand. For example, Tul ships various graphics cards under PowerColor brand in different parts of the world, but in the U.S. PowerColor-branded products are sold by JV Logic, which also sells a lineup of Nvidia-based solutions under Zogis trademark. In addition, Tul itself offers various mainboards, multimedia cards, netbooks and even power supply units under its own name.
