First Mainboards for ClawHammer at Computex. [05/20/2002 11:00 PM]

As we read over here, ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte are going to showcase their first mainboards for the upcoming 64bit AMD Hammer processor at Computex 2002 in Taipei, which will take place from June 3 to June 7. Of course, these will be only engineering samples, as the mass production is scheduled for Q4 2002, when the CPUs are to come out.

However, the mere fact that first mainboard samples are about to crop up is a highly positive thing, as it may stimulate the first data about the CPUs performance to be released finally. By the way, the info about the first "desktop" ClawHammer CPU rated as 3400+ and working at 2GHz has been confirmed now.
