Intel will cut its prices on chipsets for desktop computer on the 29th of June and then on the 28th of September, roughly 3 months after the first price cut of Springdale series. As I learnt over here, the company will not change i875P pricing even in September, whereas i865 prices will be declined moderately compared to June.

Take a look on the table that represents Intel chipset pricing after the 29th of June and after the 28th of September:

Besides the fact that Intel decreases the pricing of its chipsets very moderately, pay attention to the fact that i865PE and i865P will be priced equally in September. This may lead us to conclusion that i865P will be phased out this Fall due to the fact that it does not officially support processors with 800MHz Quad Pumped Bus, whereas there will be quite a big number of such CPUs on the market this Fall.

Note that i845G will be more expensive than more powerful i845GE. I believe Intel will also cut the i854G later this year and there will be very few such products by Fall.

Keep in mind that the information comes from an unofficial source.
