Asrock, one of the largest makers of mainboards in the world, this week unveiled a deluxe mainboard based on Intel Z77 core-logic for those, who want top-notch features implemented using top-quality hardware. Asrock Z77 Extreme11 integrates various additional controllers from leading developers to enable SAS, WiFi, Bluetooth 4 and PCI Express 3.0 switching on performance-mainstream solution.

Asrock Z77 Extreme11 mainboard is designed for Intel microprocessors in LGA1155 form-factor and supports all the advanced capabilities that the Intel Z77 chipset has to offer. To make the platform comparable to advanced workstation or high-end desktop (HEDT) solutions, the manufacturer installed LSI SAS2308 PCIe 3.0 x8 controller to provide additional eight SAS-/SATA-6Gb/s ports; PLX PEX 8747 bridge to enable advanced  3-way SLI (PCIe x8/x8/x8 mode) and 4-way CrossFireX (PCIe x8/x8/x8/x4 mode) multi-GPU configurations; two Intel Gigabit Ethernet controllers for extreme networking capabilities; as well as dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 module.

"Asrock Z77 Extreme11 has everything an enthusiast could wish for on a motherboard and even more. From the selection of high-end hardware to the artistic designs and the powerful software bundled. If you are in search of a Z77 chipset motherboard that is full of wins and reliable in quality, Z77 Extreme11 won’t let you down," a statement by Asrock reads.

The new Z77 Extreme11 mainboard also sports regular premium features like 2oz copper multi-layered printed-circuit board; 8+4 power phase design; premium gold caps as well as dual-stack MOSFETs. Just like Asrock Z77 OC Formula, the Z77 Extreme11 comes in server CEB form-factor, so a special case will be required. Considering the fact that the mainboard supports up to 14 storage devices with Serial ATA or Serial Attached SCSI interfaces, CEB form-factor does not seem to be a real limitation as typical PC cases can hold 8 - 10 devices only.

Asrock did not reveal any information about pricing of the new extreme mainboard, but it will likely be around $350 in the best case scenario, but probably higher.
